ABOUT

Lesley Fallais – Visual Artist

Lesley Fallais

I specialise in the design and fabrication of site-specific artworks for public spaces.  Often collaborating with artists, architects, designers and engineers on projects within Urban Regeneration and in Housing and Neighbourhood Renewal settings.

Meaningful, creative engagement with people is central to my work.  My aim is always to ensure the genuine involvement of local communities.  Each context is unique and my work evolves through a creative dialogue with stakeholders and a desire to reveal, record and understand the Sense of Place. I aim to celebrate distinct local narratives which are made permanent in stone, steel, glass, terrazzo and ceramic.

Over the last 20 years I have worked on an extensive and diverse range of arts projects, working in the belief and understanding of how creativity and the arts can be a powerful force for the sustainable transformation of public spaces.

Recent Clients Include: Kirklees, Salford and Wyre MBC; Studio Three Architects; South Manchester Regeneration Team, South Manchester NHS Trust; Symphony Housing Group and Crosby Homes.
